Lorinda Freeman (2nd Grade)
I have been married for nearly 22 years and have four children and a multitude of beloved pets of many species. Two, nearly three, of my children are adults. My youngest two children attend Victory Christian Academy, and my eldest works with me here at VCA. We have all been part of the Hibbing community for over 20 years . now. My husband Chris grew up here and was part of the first 5th and 6th grade classes VCA ever had. I myself grew up a Navy brat with all of my adolescence spent living in Summerville, South Carolina. I graduated high school from Stratford High in Goose Creek, South Carolina before moving to Minnesota with my parents. I completed an associate of arts degree at Inver Grove Heights Community College with a focus on science and psychology. Then I studied prosthetic technology and manufacturing at Century College in White Bear Lake. When the Lord called me, however, I realized my true calling is serving families and Children, and went back to school for certification in children’s ministry.
What part of teaching do you enjoy most? I love sharing God’s grace, love, and truth with them.
What do you like most about teaching at Victory Christian Academy? Victory Christian Academy is a wonderful way for parents to have a team for teaching their children and equipping them from God’s Word. I love being a part of this team, and I am blessed to be here with so
many people called by God and wonderfully gifted. The teachers and staff of VCA along with so many active parents and volunteers really makes VCA a mighty little school.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school? I love hiking, camping, and writing novels and devotions.
If you could share one piece of advice with your students, what would it be? Seek God in everything you do; love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. He will be your refuge and strength in all situations. He loves you more than you can even begin to understand.
