What part of teaching do you enjoy most?

My favorite part of teaching is hands on learning. I love watching the students as they finally grasp a concept because they were able to actually do it. “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin

What do you like most about teaching at Victory Christian Academy?

I love the class size, and the Christian aspect. I love talking about the Bible with students!

What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?

I go to school myself when I’m out of school – I like to tell my husband that if I could be a professional student I would, I guess that is why I became a teacher! Outside of school I like to spend my time outdoors – hiking, camping, fishing – you name it, I love it. I also love reading and drinking coffee.

If you could share one piece of advice with your students, what would it be?

Don’t give up. I see so many students want to give up because they failed a test or an assignment. It isn’t the end of the world. School doesn’t last forever and there are so many more times that you can prove you understand what you have learned. Keep on going! You got this!
