We automatically apply discounts for families with multiple children enrolled. This discount is built into our tuition scale, requiring no separate application.
TUITION
A faith-based education is within reach!
Understanding that affordability is a key factor for many families considering a Christian education, we strive to keep our tuition as low as possible so that anyone who desires a faith-filled education can attend. Our tuition rates are approximately 50% lower than the average private school tuition in Minnesota, making quality private education accessible to a wide range of families on the Iron Range.
Fundraising and service are vital pillars in maintaining VCA's affordability.
These efforts bridge the financial gap between tuition income and operational expenses. Active participation in fundraising and service also helps cultivate a vibrant, supportive community where Christian values come alive through individual action and shared purpose.
Each year, VCA gives out thousands of dollars' worth of scholarships and discounts.
To make faith-based education more accessible, we offer a range of financial assistance options, including scholarships and discounts. By offering flexible tuition payment plans and working closely with families to tailor financial aid packages, we strive to ensure that no family is deterred by cost alone.

After the multi-child discount, families may be eligible for one of the following:

VCA will calculate which option provides the greatest tuition reduction for your family. Please note that these additional reductions cannot be combined.
Family Tuition Cap
Each family will be capped at a maximum tuition payment of $11,500, offering substantial savings for larger families.
Early Payment Discount
Take advantage of our early payment discount and receive a 5% reduction on your tuition by paying in full by August 1.
New Student Discount
We offer a 5% tuition discount to all new students joining us in grades K-12. This incentive is available to first-time students as a warm welcome to our school.
Income-based Financial Aid
Eligible families may qualify for income-based financial aid as funding is available.
FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONPastoral Scholarship
Pastors' children may qualify for a tuition scholarship as funding is available. Applications are due at enrollment or by August 1.
PASTORAL APPLICATIONPastoral Discount
If full scholarship funding is not available, children of full-time pastors qualify for a 25% tuition discount, and children of part-time pastors qualify for a 15% discount.
Pastors
We honor the dedication of pastors and their families by offering a special discount for their children.
The pastoral scholarship or discount is designed to support families who serve in ministry, recognizing the importance of their work and the challenges they face. Eligible families can enjoy free or reduced tuition, helping to make a Christian education more accessible for their children. As a pastoral scholarship or discount may result in the largest tuition reduction, no other discounts would apply.
Fundraising
- Full participation in fundraisers involves the following:

- $250 in net proceeds per student each year.
- For families with two or more students, the minimum required is $475, regardless of how many students are enrolled.
- If you would rather not participate in fundraisers, two buyout options are available:

- The full buyout requires paying your entire fundraising amount at the beginning of the school year.
- The partial buyout requires paying the deficit at the end of the school year.
Service
- Parent service hours are required as follows:

- Five hours per month per family
- Three hours per month per family for single parent homes
You may have a proxy (grandparent, aunt, etc.) fulfill your family’s service hours. If you work additional hours one month, you are able to use the extra for another month in the same school year.
- Your time and abilities are greatly appreciated; however, you may choose one of the buyout options rather than serve:

- The full buyout option for Kindergarten and single parent families is $135 per year at the beginning of the school year.
- For grades 1-12, the full buyout is $225 per year.
- The partial buyout requires paying the deficit at the end of the school year at the rate of $5 per hour.
Payment Policies
- VCA uses FACTS Management Company to process all tuition payments and fees. Tuition can be paid annually, semi-annually, or monthly with options of 10, 11, or 12 payments.
- If tuition is paid annually (one payment, paid in full by August 1), there is no FACTS setup fee. If paid semi-annually (two payments, to be withdrawn on September 3 and March 1), the FACTS setup fee is $10. If paid monthly, the FACTS setup fee is $43.
- Payment method options are automatic bank transfer or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express). If you choose to pay with a credit card, FACTS will add a convenience fee of 2.5% in addition to the setup fee.
- Students are considered enrolled for the entire school year; however, if a student is withdrawn at any time before completion of the school year, the tuition is prorated according to school quarters. Enrollment and curriculum fees will not be refunded. No portion of tuition shall be refunded for a student dismissed by expulsion or disciplinary reasons.
